This 1988 classic is one of the best animes and one of the most beautiful and moving films of all time. 

Grave of the Fireflies is a faithful and realistic portrayal of what happened during World War II in Japan. 

This sad story is told with great sensitivity by Isao Takahata and the impeccable production of Studio Ghibli, based on the work of Akiyuki Nosaka. 

This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful and moving films I have ever seen in my life.
