Temperance

Temperance

Women with their temperance
They have taken away the wormwood from my throat
When you cherished me in the bitter hours
Trying to refer me to hope

Small castles crumbled in the sand
Driven by the waves of a treacherous sea
There were still dreams to be dreamed
There were still sweet moments to be lived

That I might have had over a lifetime
Even with debris and wounds
I would live every moment

Like a bird that flies to the horizon
It would reach the firmament
Even knowing that the horizon has no end
